Grocery List – March 12

Menu 1:
– Mini apple rosemary turkey meatloaves
– Spicy chicken soup
– Quinoa burrito bowls
– Buffalo chicken chili
– Chicken piccata

Shopping List

– 1 apple
– 3 onions
– 7 cloves of garlic
– pico de gallo **

– carrots
– celery
– avocado **
– 1 lemon
– capers
– 2 lbs ground chicken
– chicken breasts (We need these for several recipes. You will need 6, plus however many breasts you want for chicken piccata. For example, I want 3 for chicken piccata so I need a total of 9 chicken breasts.)
– 16oz chunky salsa
– 1 14.5oz can diced tomatoes
– 2 15oz can stewed tomatoes
– 1 15oz can tomato sauce
– 1 15oz can corn
– 2 16oz cans black beans
– 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce **
– angel hair pasta **
– shredded cheddar
– 8oz sour cream
– blue cheese
– chicken broth
– ground turkey
– quinoa
– misc spices
– foil muffin cups
 **items you need but won’t assemble until the day your having the meal.
Supplies:
– olive oil
– muffin pan
– sandwich and freezer bags
– a couple of containers
HOMEWORK:
pre-cook 6 chicken breasts in the crockpot with:

  • 32oz chicken broth/stock
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/2 t ground pepper
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 t onion powder
Once cooked, shred chicken.
